BRIGHTON’S SUMMER CLOSING PARTY – SHAKEDOWN FESTIVAL

As summer comes to a close Stanmer park will be opening up for Brighton’s hottest music festival: Shakedown, the biggest and best one day music event that the city has ever seen. The stellar line-up includes some of the most popular artists on the planet; from indie rock to rap, from techno to grime, Shakedown will be an eclectic musical mash-up of epic proportions.
Headlining the festival will be an unforgettable performance from the Indie sensations that are Razorlight.
Whatever the weather, Stanmer will be set alight by a variety of scorching DJ sets with Legendary dance act 2manyDJs, Radio 1’s Zane Lowe, Kissy Sell Out (with MC Cobra), Radio 1’s Jaymo & Andy George, and Mixmag’s ‘Star of the Year’ Riva Starr all taking to the stage. Furthermore, in a city famed for its night-life, Shakedown will showcase home grown talents, which make-up some of the biggest and best DJ acts today. International hit producers the Freemasons, house double-act Prok and Fitch and techno mastermind Thomas Gandey (Caged Baby) will all be representing Brighton on the day.
Shakedown has been created by former Head of Radio 1 Live Events Matt Priest and festival promoter Steve Jones.
