For this presentation, the Portico rooms at Somerset House were transformed into a 1940s tea dance, complete with hot cross buns, low lighting, vintage biscuits and a swing band. It featured seated shy girls, observing their friends waltzing around the room until it was their turn for some handsome young gentleman to ask them to dance.

One needn’t be required to be a boundary pushing fashion victim to be in the want for any of this collection, any ordinary feminine lady with a penchant for the pretty, would have their hearts set aflutter for the pleated peter pan collars, prom dresses, delicate blouses, tea dresses, dainty shorts and metallics and glittering garments including sparkly ankle socks with dance shoes. Darling collection and showcased splendidly, the atmosphere was magical and there was a genuine old world charm about it.
