Preview: FestiFeel

A festival curated by Fearne Cotton may well be your idea of a terrifying nightmare but trust me, there’s more to it than that. FestiFeel is an all day event set up by Coppafeel founder, Kristin Hallenga, who herself has been misdiagnosed twice with breast cancer and is now still living with breast cancer. The charity itself is aimed to educate women about their own breasts, as spotting breast cancer in its very early stages can save one’s life.

The event will take place on the 4th June at Shoreditch’s The Queen of Hoxton and runs all day. More importantly, the line-up isn’t bad either as on the bill, they have Chew Lips, who have just released their shit hot new single, Do You Chew? as a free download to promote their forthcoming sophomore album.

Also on the line-up, they have Slow Club playing, who released their absolutely stunning second album, Paradise, at the tail end of last year which I’m sure will be a lovely gig from them as per usual.

North Eastern indie lads, The Castells will also be whacking out some guitar based tunes whilst Brighton founded rock band, Blood Red Shoes (who are quite possibly one of my favourite rock bands ever) are on the decks – I’m really intrigued as to what they’ll play. Also on DJing duty is Radio 1’s Jen Long.
