Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair has been peddling its wares around our cities for a while now. Each event includes a range of stalls feeding a vintage hungry public, and Judy’s has established itself as a place to buy vintage without pretension and preciousness. All very popular (and populist?) so far, but what next? How can they raise themselves above the sea of similar events? Well, with their Vintage Nation Festival, which looks set to be a bit of an extravaganza! Appealing to all the senses with world food, champagne and G&T, DJs and music, a village green sponsored by Crabbie’s, a man-made beach , retro car shows and a variety of live acts – including burlesque. Yes, even boyfriends, usually seen being dragged along reluctantly at these kinds of events, will have something to keep themselves occupied with. Don’t worry though ladies, while they’re checking out the saucy acts, transform yourself into a pin-up starlet in the beauty parlour. On Saturday June 9th, the Vintage Nation Festival will be at Brighton Racecourse from 10am til 11pm. Tickets are only £15 (but move fast as there are a limited number at a brilliant £10). And in the two massive marketplaces, there will be plenty of opportunities to spend your hard earned cash on vintage clothing and furniture; the bread and butter of Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fairs.
