From the 6-9th September, Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight will house the award winning boutique festival
No longer a small boutique festival, since winning the ‘Best Medium-Sized Festival’ from 2005-2009, it has since graduated to heavyweight status as it contends with the big boys of the festival world, winning ‘Best Major Festival’ in 2010 and ‘Fans’ Favourite Festival’ in 2011.
This year promises to be the best yet, with a line up that includes, among many, many others: Stevie Wonder; New Order; Florence and the Machine; Sigur Rós, The xx; Two Door Cinema Club; Justice; Orbital; Hot Chip; 2manydjs; and Annie Mac Presents.
And of course, the favourite arenas we love to drunkenly frolic through are back too, with the Wishing Tree Field, Magic Meadow and Ambient Forest all in there, with more to discover. Keeping it current, this year there will also be the Village Olympics, for the alterna sporting event of the summer. There’s even a Bestival Periodic Turntable of Elements (I know, right?).
And as ever, come Sunday night, the entire shebang will be crowned with a glorious finale of fireworks.
It’s not to be missed.
