From the crowded, sleepless streets of Hong Kong, to the fresh mountain air of Vancouver, designer Frederick Fung developed an influence all his own. Fung’s TASS Fashion, the fourth show of the night, is a project established to help rising designers reach their full potential. Each piece, with the aid and instruction of Fung, was designed by TASS students, and a fresh, keen, youthfullness exudes as a result. Aside from a slight departure into school marm grey flannel, the looks engaged distinctive 60s pool-side overtones, injecting a playful summertime essence – from Malibu Ken and Barbie, to Hampton’s posh. Checkered sacque dresses, frilly, sleeveless blouses, and crisp white leisure suits were the highlights of TASS’s fun-in-the-sun-time looks.
The shows continue with the second evening beginning at 5:00pm, Thursday, September 20.
