South Africa’s much-loved and award-winning designer Gert-Johan Coetzee was next up and show goers were impressed to the point of a standing ovation. Coetzee’s colour palette of the season is neon green, pale grey and black, and he uses the combination to great effect across his full line. He even went so far as to embed neon glow sticks in this opening outfit, as the lights dimmed. Sheer-sleeved body-con dresses with skeleton prints, black leather pants with a wide belt in the electric green, and tutu skirts dominated the looks.
The shows continue with the second evening beginning at 5:00pm, Thursday, September 20.
