A special run of gigs featuring performances from all of this year’s Mercury award nominated artists continues this month as The Maccabees, Alt-J and Michael Kiwanuka have all been confirmed to play a joint headline show at London’s LSO St Luke’s venue, each set to perform tracks from their selected albums. The show is also to help raise money and support the fantastic charity War Child, who have teamed up with this year’s event.
The Prize will be making tickets for the event available to fans through competitions and a special ballot system which opens for 48 hours from 10am on Monday 15 October at www.theticketfactory.com.
Fans who are not able to make the show will still be able to catch tracks and interview footage as part of Channel 4’s coverage of this year’s Prize series. Each artist will be the subject of a dedicated programme broadcast on Wednesday 31 October ahead of the official Barclaycard Mercury Prize Awards Show in London on Thursday 1 November.
