Mark Watson’s come a long way in a relatively small period of time, from 24-hour stand-up and improvisation, through to 2011’s expedition into comedic theatre writing and directing with The Hotel. Then there are his own TV and Radio shows as well as the obligatory comedy panel show appearances. Whilst becoming a father, he’s also just released his sixth book, at the Edinburgh Book Festival, and will be performing at Dave’s Brighton Comedy Festival at the Brighton Dome on Sunday 14th October for some ‘optional unaggressive crowd banter’. Like a child snorting sherbet on the naughty step, it appears Mark Watson cannot sit still.
Watson was a victim of identity theft. Someone successfully posed as him and took all his money. After taking time to reflect on this; he will present his findings on the power of the internet, the nature of identity and a way to stop crime forever amongst some other smaller matters. With Watson being the perfection culmination of ‘intellectual geek meets crazed raconteur’, make sure you’re in this endearing comic’s presence at the Brighton Dome come Sunday.
