Preview: Petre Inspirescu

Growing up, Petre Inspirescu had little contact to the technologies that most of us take for granted. Starved of the chance to develop as a musician, Petre was pushed ? or rather he pushed himself ?  to journey far away from his home country of Romania and out into Prague and Budapest to purchase Vinyl. This initial vacuum of switches and gadgets continues to influence his creative output to this day, and as we look forward to his guest mix spot on the Fabric 68 release, it’s clear that his passion for creating originality in his work is still running strong through his veins.

“I recorded the mix at home and arranged only from my own productions, as I wanted to try to offer a more classical touch to the music I make for the dance floor and to present it to people.” Filling the persistently big shoes of the Fabric Mix C.D is a welcome task, in which Petre appears to have shaped an intriguing blend of live classic instrumentation and dance music. With descriptions liking it to ‘a half remembered gypsy melody, which sounds warp and weave themselves around more organic elements’, The launch of Fabric 68 will pulsate a strange direction throughout the dance floor.
