The unique event concept ‘A Night With…’ began the year meaning big business having featured the likes of A Guy Called Gerald and Trevor Jackson, two of the most renowned DJ’s of all time. This time around, ‘A Night With…’ is back at Basing House and will be welcoming Graeme Park to take over for the event’s third party of 2013.
Park has achieved legendary status in the realms of dance music and club culture. Humbly beginning his music career in Nottingham’s record shop, Selectadisc, in the early 80’s, Park became linked with the explosive Mancunian nightclub, the Hacienda, when he was asked to cover for DJ Mike Pickering in 1988. That night allowed Park to demonstrate his knowledge of the expanding house and techno scene and both established him as a resident at the Hacienda and a name in music history. Park went on to conquer the electronic music scene, remixing and producing dancefloor tracks and ruling the airwaves with radio shows on stations such as Kiss FM and Galaxy.
This April, in the intimate surroundings of Basing House, Park will be performing all night long with an electric set likely to comprise of both classics and obscurities from the golden age of dance.
