The loosely-comprised Californian dance-funk ensemble, Chk Chk Chk’s (aka !!!) new track, Slyd, is a brilliant precursor of what is to follow on their latest album, Thr!!! er, to be released on 29th April. Slyd, which is currently a hit all over the internet, is a floor-filling track, alive with big beats and a load of vocal cuts. This heavily sampled banger pays homage to the sample-based dance floor classics but there’s still that smooth sexiness to the track that marks this as very much a signature Chk Chk Chk funk sound.

In line with the release of their new album, Chk Chk Chk is set to play at London’s Village Underground on 7th May as part of their 2013 tour. This All Tomorrow’s Parties (ATP) event will see Chk Chk Chk perform tracks from their new album as well as past hits for what is set to be a dance-inducing night!

Chk Chk Chk at Village Underground, 54 Holywell Lane, Shoreditch, London, EC2A 3PQ on Tuesday 7th May, 7.30 – 11pm.

Tickets are £13.50 and can be bought from here.

This is an 18+ event.

(Stayed tuned for a load more exciting ATP events in London, Oxford and East
Sussex from May onwards.)
