Video: British Sea Power ‘Machineries Of Joy’

Check out the new British Sea Power video for their current single ‘Machineries Of Joy’ – the title track from their new, fifth album out 1st April on Rough Trade. The album is the follow-up to the band’s 2011 album ‘Valhalla Dancehall’ and celebrates their tenth anniversary.

One thing we’re asking ourselves in the Spindle studio is what ‘Machineries Of Joy’ actually are? Personally I think they’re referring to offshore wind farms. So is British Sea Power literally obsessed with British Sea Power?

The vid gives few clues, showing a Marion Cotillard lookalike riding her bike through the great British countryside while wearing a fetching jumper. At one point a bike-sculpture-kaleidoscope appears – maybe that’s the titular machinery of joy?

Anyway. This http://nygoodhealth.com simple yet lovely video is a perfect match for the driving rhythm of the song, reminding you that the right soundtrack can make even the most familiar and everyday situations seems epic.
