Preview: The East London Comic and Arts Festival (ELCAF) @ York Hall, Bethnal Green, 22/6/2013

Following the success of ELCAF at Village Underground in Shoreditch last year, the festival returns to East London this year at a bigger venue and with the mission to give greater publicity to quality UK and international comics, graphic art and illustration.

The festival, presented by Nobrow Press, aims to present the thriving British alternative and indie comics and illustration scene that produces prize-winning global talent. With the promise of a packed schedule, the festival will include talks and events for all ages curated by the team behind the popular ‘Friday Lates’ at the V&A.  There’s the chance to meet writers and artists, and check out the new wall mural by ELCAF’s artist in residence, New York illustrator Andy Rementer.  Based in Bethnal Green’s historic York Hall, the festival will also have a fully licenced bar and popular street food vendors adding to making this family festival a great day out.  With the full line-up being announced in May, it is already looking like a challenge to experience everything ELCAF has on offer in its single day duration.

The East London Comic and Arts Festival, 22nd June 2013, 10am – 7pm, York Hall, 5 Old Ford Road, Bethnal Green, London, E2 9PJ.
