Step Out! is a monthly event created by Stepladder Worldwide, a London-based youth initiative that aims to give young people greater access to live events, music, and theatre industries. The events bring together major figures in the creative industry with unsigned artists and young people looking for experience with the aim of providing an opportunity to network.
The Step Out! event happening on 16th May at Brighton’s The Alternative Escape, which runs in conjunction with The Great Escape festival, will provide a packed line-up with music from London’s live 5-piece dubstep band Coda, double award winning hip-hop duo North of Ping Pong, The Cuban Brothers’ Russ Holborough, and DJ Lex Luca. As well as music, there will be some special food and drink on offer ranging from a bespoke BBQ, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream fridges, and bespoke cocktails.
The event will start at 8pm at Wahoo Bar on West Street, allowing for networking and tasting some of the delectable food on offer, with the first act performing at 9.30pm.
Stepladder Worldwide is a young persons version of its parent company sevens7. Run by under 24’s, Stepladder Worldwide produces their own events with the aim of benefiting other young people. Having already scooped 3 awards for ‘Innovation of the Year’ and ‘Employee of the Year’ at the Event Production Awards 2012 and another for ‘Best Cause Related/Charity Event’ at the UK Event Awards 2012, it is Stepladder Worldwide’s aim to continue to help young people get into the creative industries.
Perfect for young people that are interested in the music, theatre, events and creative industries, this ‘Free Industry Party’ runs from 8pm – 3am at Wahoo Bar, Brighton on 16th May.
