Pete Roe: Our Beloved Bubble

Pete Roe is best known as an acclaimed multi instrumentalist/vocalist for Laura Marling’s Band as well as his amazing stage presence after having delivered memorable performances while touring with Mumford & Sons.

Now with the release of his debut album, Our Beloved Bubble, Roe truly demonstrates his talent as a solo artist. Our Beloved Bubble is a hauntingly beautiful mix of folk and bluegrass with a pinch of blues thrown in for good measure. Roe is joined on the album by two remarkable musicians, fiddler Ross Holmes and banjo player Matt Menefee, with the renowned producer Ethan Johns adding finishing touches to the album’s overall sound.

Roe’s strength as a songwriter is evident by the depth of emotions conveyed in his lyrics ranging from the joys of love and friendship to sadness and loss. Roe sights Paul Simon, Neil Young and Ryan Adams as artists that have influenced his writing style and it shows in the complexity of Roe’s storytelling. Our Beloved Bubble is one of those albums that stays with you long after you’ve heard it which makes the album a definite must listen.
