There are always those handfuls of festivals each year, which look like one of those day-dream events you construct in your head, usually on the train, which artist line-up includes the most eye watering array of talent imaginable, in a location which oozes heat and culture.

Coachella is usually the one to hit the high notes of perfection, as well as the ever increasing pool of smaller European festivals which have repeatedly sourced amazing, more underground talent.

This year we’d have to side with primavera for the festival to go to in 2013. It’s history is yet to rival the older, more established names in the summer festival circuit, but it’s backdrop and line-up is what the big boys wish they could match. From the 22nd to the 26th of May, Barcelona will play host to an eclectic list of artists, hailing from a huge number of different of styles, genres and eras.

The Knife, Meat Puppets, Death Grips, My Bloody Valentine and James Blake are all squeezed in, shoulder to shoulder, on a line-up which will make you sorry you saved up for 3 rainy days in the midlands instead. If you weren’t luck enough to find yourself with a ticket, you can read the full review here at Spindle.
