Preview: Relentless House Parties

Friday 03 May 2013

What comes to mind when you think of Relentless? Extreme sports? Rock music? Buzzing off caffeine?

Well yes, all of the above is still true, but 2013 brings with it a image overhaul and a new Lemon Ice flavor for this drinks brand. (I’m thinking rum and lemon one ice over one too many Jägerbombs this summer…). Having just teamed up with Professor Green, Zane Lowe and Pure love, relentless is reaching out into new worlds of music with all three acts set to work on exciting new projects such as Relentless LIVE – an exclusive gig for competition winners taking place at the end of the year.

Alongside all of this comes the series of events that Spindle’s really excited about. Relentless house parties in Manchester, Glasgow and a final city TBA set in awesome locations with local big acts representing their home towns.

First up on the 16th May, Manchester sees a diverse musical dynamic created in each of the rooms of the Antwerp Mansion. Manc lads Delphic will be co-hosting the Billiard room and the party will also feature sets from two of the biggest DJ and club nights in town, Chow Down and DRS Presents Estate Recordings.

Bringing artists such as electro-pop four piece Egyptian Hip Hop and euphoric electro sounds from Bipolar Sunshine, a collective of DJ’s set to blow the roof of the mansion and, finally, the Secret Folk club for a chilled atmosphere in the Mansions back yard, this is set to be a melting pot of creativity, music and talent. And all for an even more awesome price of £5 a head.

Relentless promote a ‘No half measures’ ethos, and we think they’ve stuck true to their word in 2013. Nice one.
