First up this Sunday 26th is The Great British Fair, a day and night full of Great British traditions, theatrical performances, live music, face paint, entertainment and fancy dress.
Transforming the venue’s ground floor into The Fairground, with all of the traditional fair favourites, guests to The Old Queen’s Head will enjoy games including a coconut shy, hook a duck, head in hole and strength test alongside a candy floss stall and BBQ serving up fairground fayre including hotdogs and burgers with all British ingredients, all day in the beer garden.
Upstairs, on the venue’s first floor, we’ll have The Big Top, presenting a stellar lineup of live folk music along with side show acts including a unicyclist and bearded lady, all hosted by The Ringmaster who will be overseeing the days proceedings. Then, in The Gypsy Tavern, people will have the opportunity to have their palms and tarot cards read by ourFairground Psychic Psychic Journey .
The event will run from 3pm with activities, games and music running through the day into the evening when DJs will take over to carry on the party through until 3am.
Other events coming up in The Queen’s Great Britain series are to include The Great British Summer, in July, The Great British Sports Day, in August, and The Great British Festival, in September.
