Smack bang in the middle of East London, the Dalston Superstore is a cool and slightly camp New York-styled bar and venue split between two floors and clad in cement, brick and steel vents. Hosting regular club nights, events and exhibitions, it showcases a number of flourishing artists from all different fields and walks of life.
Cut and Paste is Superstore’s new exhibition curated by their in-house curator Saskia Wickins. Drawing inspiration from classic artists such as Kurt Schwitters and Max Ernst it aims to explore the timeless medium of collage and the idea of using different materials together to produce elements of expression. With collage ever prominent within art and design, Cut and Pater endeavours to exhibition it’s own selection of exciting new talent.
14 artists have been asked to contribute, each of them working with collage in entirely different ways including photography, digital construction and good old-fashioned paper on paper. For more info of Superstore’s art click here!
