Listen up all you Landan luvvies – get yourselves down to Gazeli Art House on Tuesday 20th August for a raucous rock n’ roll photography exhibition that will leave you dreaming of your next road trip. The collection features the works of none other than Alex J. Trimble, the strawberry blond (as Keith Lemon would say) frontman of Northern Irish indie rockers Two Door Cinema Club and his BBF (Best Bro Forever) Jamie William, a supremely talented Belfast-based photographer.

So what’s the big deal? The show features a collection of images taken on a road trip by the two old friends last summer. The fun-loving Northern Irish lads rented a classic Ford Mustang and made their way up the West coast of America, taking in the Nevada desert and the sleazy sights of Las Vegas. The likely lads even found time to knock back quite a lot of frozen margaritas (geddit now?) whilst capturing the madness on their Contax G2 cameras.

Let’s hear it from the bois: “To get lost and found again through the lens of a camera, escaping life as we live it with a close friend is an unforgettable experience that I dearly wish to share with people through these pictures,” says Alex Trimble.

“The desire to explore an enticing new place and to get lost on the open road instilled a determination right from the drunken moment of the trip’s conception,” says Jamie William.

The collection is for sale as a spiffingly designed set of postcards from Manchester company POLITE. Now is your chance to see the entire collection draped on the walls of this sweet urban art space and slosh a margarita or two in honour of their freewheelin’ adventure.
