Attitudes were left at the door and everyone was in the mood to party. The music was so-bad-it’s-good 90s pop and soul classics expertly interspersed with a series of brilliant performances from the STP collective, from Celebrity Skins to Kikis – you can’t help having a good time at this club. The bar staff are lovely to boot, a nice change to the moody, inattentive service commonly found in some other clubs.
In the main room/sauna gorgeous boys, girls and everything in between danced, drenched in sweat and glitter creating a buzzing atmosphere. Downstairs the DJ pumped out 90s dance classics while the club’s regulars drank pints alongside fabulous trannies. On-the-spot marriages were available for those who had found their special someone.
Sink The Pink succeeds in its aim to inject life into the London club scene – so grab some knee-high boots and get yourself along to the next one.
