A workspace for creatives in Williamsburg housing freelancers, solopreneurs and teams from design-led industries such as PR/marketing, architecture/design, TV/film/media, fashion and publishing, has just opened its doors in the one-time Vice Media Building at 97 N 10th St.

An iconic structure; it’s now home to The New Work Project that ‘sits at the crossroads of hospitality and coworking’ – the brainchild and business venture of past bankers and present husband-and-wife James Davison and Fanny Abbes of Brooklyn-based interior design studio The New Design Project.

The workspace has many parts: lounge areas, gallery desks or private studios, high workstations, break-out areas and conference rooms. The interior design is at once stunning, retro, modern and feng-shui; inspired by designs from Pierre Jeanneret, Friso Kramer, Jaime Hayon and Resident Studio, married with custom The New Design Project furniture and artistry from local Brooklyn designers. All work and no play isn’t an issue in this office.

“Brooklyn is now recognized the world over as a thriving hub of creativity and entrepreneurship, and we’re delighted to be opening our first location not only in the heart of Williamsburg but also in one of its most iconic buildings,” says James Davison, summing up the appeal of workspace with: “The New Work Project is an intimate, one-of-a-kind, design-led workspace for individually minded creators and innovators.”
