New Music: Arcade Fire ‘Reflektor’

Monday 09 September 2013
Words Alice Bell

Arcade Fire have a new single and album on the horizon. For most artists this means the release of a regular promo vid, complete with sexy dancers and a location that is just a tad more inviting than London as autumn draws in.

But not Arcade Fire. No. Not happy with one music video for Reflektor, the band have released two. And the second also happens to be an interactive video in the form of of a website, with a little help from some augmented reality on your phone. Phew.

Following on from the success of previous web-based interactive music videos forĀ Neon Bible, We Used to Wait and Sprawl II, Arcade Fire have once again enlisted the help of the Google Chrome Experiments team to do something a little bit different and totally engaging:

Yes, that’s me featuring in the video at the end. Try the interactive video for Reflektor here. Needless to say, the song is a delight too.
