ASOS AFRICA A/W13

Thursday 31 October 2013
Words Lizzie

If I saw a person wearing plaid clashing with leopard print I would assume they either got changed in the dark or are still drunk from the night before. Yet, the new A/W’13 collection from ASOS AFRICA does just that and it surprising works.

Taking inspiration from Kenyan’s Masai tribe and their traditional fabrics,  3 variations of plaid, a leopard print and citrus elephant print are worked across sweatshirts, pencil skirts and pinafore dresses. Adding some colour to your winter wardrobe, ASOS AFRICA not only keys into everyone’s current obsession with plaid but also allows underprivileged communities to establish sustainable business through local craftsmanship.
