I love a solid pair of specs. That should come with the Charlie terms though, seeing as I can’t see and seize the day without them. When I was a young cherub, spectacle frames were jazzy, kaleidoscopic and everything Scary Spice represented. Glasses then became serious – almost too serious. But luckily there’s been a hijack of old times, with fashion AND frames enjoying colour and ‘whatever’ ways.
Spindle went to the launch of Specsavers‘
The new range features 24 styles that find a precise middle ground between contemporary and retro, with a sharpness and boldness about them that’s then injected with playful and nostalgic colour. Adjust your vision to days of Spice Girls, Dame Edna, and general 90s rebellion, and imagine this hipster nostalgia fossilized within forward-thinking frames.
The Replay glasses collection features both male and female styles, and you can even expect the odd tortoiseshell design. Who doesn’t live for a touch of tortoiseshell? The frames definitely reflect the Replay ideals of style and utility, and I for one will be queuing up for a pair!
