We have a treat for you today, dear reader: an exclusive remix of Strange Names ‘Potential Wife’ by Paul Robb, formerly of 80s band Information Society.
Well, we’re huge fans of Information Society’s What’s
A word on Strange Names: the duo consists of NYC native Liam Benzvi and Minnesota-born Francis Jimenez, who met at university and tentatively began making music together. Now, having released an EP in the US, they’ve been named one of the Twin Cities’ Best New Bands of 2012 by City Pages and are in the process of recording a full length album. Their 80s inspired sound is reminiscent of Information Society, so it’s no wonder that Robb decided to get involved with this remix. The result is an irresistibly catchy tune that you’re sure to have on repeat for quite some time!
Having already supported Yeasayer, Mac DeMarco and The Walkmen, Strange Names look set to explode in their own right – and we can’t wait for them to hot-foot it over to the UK!
