The London-based twosome, Alice Fox and Jack St. James, have released the new single along with a few other tracks, Hold On and The Answer, which can be found on their Soundcloud. Their covers can also be found there, including a reinvented version of Perth by Bon Iver which sounds completely unrecognisable but fantastic all the same.
They have also remixed tracks for Swiss Lips and supported Capital Cities – but the fun does not stop there; Avec Sans will also be the supporting act for Little Boots at Heaven, London on November 28. This has led to the two establishing a name for themselves, so much so that the Dolce and Gabbana’s SWIDE magazine classed them as a “One to Watch” for the future.
The introduction to the new single sounds like something from The Sims, naturally giving it an animated feel; the soft, ghostly sound of Alice haunts spookily in the background and is met by Japanese Pop-style synthesised beats that could make even the moodiest of women smile.
Not only are they avidly involved in the music industry, the twosome are fast becoming relevant in the fashion world. They collaborated with the London designer Swear to design a shoe and have even been featured in Elle and Vogue. It’s clear that the duo will be making it big, one way or another.
