Brasstronaut Release Brand New Video For ‘The Grove’

The newest video from Vancouver boys Brasstronaut has arrived, and this time we see them in biographical mode.

‘The Grove’ – taken from last year’s epic album Mean Sun – is a ripped from the headlines tale from the coke-fueled days of 1980s Miami, as experienced by Brasstronaut frontman Edo Van Breemen.

Apparently a respected defence lawyer – and family friend – was picked up with a boat load of cocaine by the coast guard and it transpired that he had also been laundering money for the Cali cartel. If there’s a more ’80s sounding scandal then we want to hear about it!

The video for The Grove sees A Little Bird Community Theatre inventively take on the task of telling the tale right there on the stage, complete with cardboard sets of palm trees and rolling waves. Check it out!
