…but the excitement does not stop there as the new video also debuts their brand spanking new track Crush Me.
Their last video that premiered XXX/Swarm allowed fans and curious souls to catch a glimpse of what The Bohicas had in store for us, but the new video displays an entirely different side of the band.
The six minute video shows a stripped back side of The Bohicas, no alcohol and girls like the last one. Instead of watching a story unfold like most music videos, we are able to watch the group in their element whilst performing live in an empty (probably beige) village hall. If they’re able to put on a show as good as that when nobody is watching, think how incredible they’d be with a sold out crowd cheering them on.
Filmed live in Clapham at the start of the year by Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern, the foursome can now consider themselves added to a portfolio of established artists and bands including Arctic Monkeys and Franz Ferdinand, who are also signed to Domino Records.
It’s hard to believe that their performance is live as the vocals are as close to flawless as humanely possible. The band members are completely in sync and on the same wavelength, giving off an entirely effortless – and pretty damn cool – vibe. Oh to be a fly on a wall during one of the band’s jam sessions…
The new track Crush Me is exactly what you expect from The Bohicas; rocky teenage angst with a performance filled with intensity that makes your insides weep. The constant eye contact made with the camera is chilling, but just oozes with the passion that the band clearly have for the music they’re producing.
Nothing is stale with this band; everything they do and sing is fueled with vitality and an undeniable hunger. After watching the live video, you want to see the real deal and if you live in London then you’re in luck as the band will be performing at Black Heart and White Heart on January 27th-28th.
If, like me, you’re not blessed geographically, then just continue to appreciate their music on www.thebohicas.com and patiently wait for that UK tour that will inevitably happen…
