Amber Run consists of five talented Nottingham lads, Will Jones, Tomas Sperring, Joshua Keogh, Henry Wyeth and Felix Archer. Having previously released the anthemic ‘Noah’ and the stirring ‘Heaven’ along with a string of other tracks on their Soundcloud, Amber Run are set to release their new single ‘Spark’ on April 20th via RCA Records.
They have already gained support from the likes of Zane Lowe and Fearne Cotton on Radio 1, as well as being championed by XFM; these guys are quite clearly the ones to watch for 2014. Aside from this they’ve just announced their debut UK headline tour, which will be taking place this Spring and alongside this they will be supporting Kodaline on their March tour, to include a date at London’s Brixton Academy on March 21st.
Described by BBC Introducing as “Lovingly created indie pop”, that’s exactly what Amber Run play and ‘Heaven’ is no exception. Think smooth vocals you want to sing along to, melodic guitar riffs and pitch perfect vocal harmonies. What’s more, they are currently in the studio recording their debut album, which is being produced by Mike Crossey who has worked with Arctic Monkeys, Two Door Cinema Club, Jake Bugg and the Foals amongst others; it’s due for release later this year.
