Introducing: F r a n s k i l d

The Swedish house duo release their new single ‘Clockworks’, a dreamy pulsating rhythmic offering.

It’s been a jam-packed twelve months for Franskild, ever since Maya Jane Coles and Mixmag championed their previous single ‘Eden’, the Swedish pair, Love Ojensa and Tim Söderström, have been slowly edging their sound into the front of people’s minds. They have also gained support from BBC Introducing and have previously remixed ‘Burning Bright’ for Maya – basically, they are the ones to watch for 2014.

Whilst ‘Eden’ can be described as uplifting, melancholic, dreamy house music with a powerfully progressive under-beat, ‘Clockworks’ whilst just as dreamy in essence is more electronic in its foundations, with a beat sure to fill any underground dancefloor. The original mix delivers pulsating rhythms and a soft vocal performance from Love’s sister, Rebekka Ojensa, has given this track a more tranquil and whimsical side to house music that has rarely been heard in the commercial scene.

Described by Noisey as “another perfect example of the duo’s brilliant ability to make every inch of your body twitch”, they produce the sort of sounds that fit in a playlist next to the likes of The XX, Claptone and Friendly Fires.

Catch them live in London TONIGHT at The Sebright Arms, or take a listen on Soundcloud. Either way, it’s agreed that Franskild are showing their musical colours as one of 2014’s most promising acts.
