Introducing: RÜFÜS

Listen to the foot-tapping, shoulder bopping sounds of Sydney’s finest electronic house and pop pioneers RÜFÜS.

Consisting of three boys from Sydney – Tyrone Lindqvist, Jon George and James Hunt – the trio are set to release their debut album ‘ATLAS’ April 28th, following their number one chart success over in Sydney. Their single ‘Desert Night’, released from the album today, is a blend of sophisticated electronic pop and house music: think an infectious beat and mellow happy-go-lucky vocals. It marks the opening chapter of what is set to be an equally impressive rise in the UK.

In just eighteen months, RÜFÜS have managed to make quite the impression in Australia and judging by their track record, they won’t be stopping on home turf. From multiple sell-out tours down under and remixes and originals for Kitsuné and Plant, to playing infront of LCD Soundsystem in NYC, they have been busy to say the very least. The band have also been nominated for two ARIA awards, along with the J award for Best Australian Album. There really is no stopping these lads.

They describe ‘ATLAS’ as a DIY labour of love. Written, produced and recorded by the band between two studios they built themselves; one at a remote farmhouse on the NSW South coast, the second in a hollowed-out water tank under one of their parent’s houses, this hand-nurtured offering speaks a thousand words.
