If you don’t know who Secret Company are, it’s about time you did, because you’re going to be hearing a lot more from them in 2014. Consisting of four lads from Chelmsford – Scott Revell, James Patman, Kushal Gupta and Tim Reyland, Secret Company offer a sound that’s a fusion of electro pop melodies and indie led vocals.
Their first official offering and debut single, ‘Saviour’ is produced and mixed by James Yuill, presenting us with soaring anthemic vocals, skittering drums and shimmering synths. ‘The song is about people in your life that you can depend on,’ says front man Scott Revell. ‘Although we’ve learned there’s no magic saviour as such, there are people who help you get through all the hard stuff. We’re hoping it can be interpreted however works best for anybody listening.’
Despite the track only going live on Soundcloud yesterday, ‘Saviour’ has already had well over 3000 views, and rightly so. Their youthful sound as an emerging band is infectious. If you like what you hear, you can catch Secret Company live at The Water Rats, London this Thursday evening. We seriously recommend it.
