Avante Black – ‘Drug Money (Anna Of The North Remix)’

Spindle favourites Avante Black have returned with a bloody massive, wonky remix of debut single ‘Drug Money’ courtesy of indie-pop duo Anna Of The North. Giving the track a fresh new approach perfect for house parties and shenanigans across the country, the heady, crooked remix is just what you’ll need to power on through to the weekend. Avante Black support Lea Lea at The Old Blue last on March 2nd.

Tom Grennan – ‘Praying’

Cheeky chappie Tom Grennan has unveiled new single ‘Praying’, following the release of his striking debut ‘Something In The Water’. Coming as the first taste of his forthcoming EP ‘Release The Brakes’, the track is a heartfelt ode to finding your way, with Tom’s emotive voice soaring across gravelly guitar riffs.

Rhys Lewis – ‘Living In The City’ Video

Rhys Lewis’ homage to the exhausting yet addictive nature of, well, living in the city, receives a tumultuous yet euphoric visual to soundtrack the star’s raw-edged soul-imbued track. Cities can suck your soul away but breathe a uniquely invigorating spirit that will keep you coming back for more. Plug in and relate below.

Lana Del Rey – ‘Love’

Lana Del Rey makes her return with her newest single ‘Love.’ The song, along with the newly released music video are classic Lana, reminiscent from her “Born To Die” era. The video features Lana in a retro-futurism setting with a number of visual effects to create cinematic space landscapes. ‘Love’ is a triumphant piece that inspires its listeners to love the lives they live.

Jessie James Decker – ‘Shoot Out The Lights’

Jessie James Decker released ‘Gold’ this week, a five track pop-infused country EP. The opening track off of ‘Gold’ is ‘Shoot Out The Lights’ a love song about reigniting the spark in a relationship, and breaking out of the monotony. The track opens with a repetitive Banjo lick with Decker’s vocals bringing an upbeat playful tone. ‘Shoot Out The Lights’ is a cute and classic mix of pop and country.

James Hersey – ‘Everyone’s Talking’

Following the release of his debut single ‘Miss You’ last year, James Hersey returns with his second single ‘Everyone’s Talking.’ Hersey ‘s signature vocals and guitar create a bouncy groovy tune similar to ‘Miss You’ but with less electronic influence. ‘Everyone’s Talking’ carries a coastal sea vibe, with the repetitive chorus and soothing guitar strings, the track is perfect to unwind to.

Born Stranger X Caitlyn Scarlett – ‘Cheating Love’

Hype Machine blogs fave Electronic-pop duo Born Stranger teams up with alt-pop emerging singer Caitlyn Scarlett on new single ‘Cheating Love’. Co-produced by Yoad Nevo (Sia, Pet Shop Boys, Goldfrapp) and vocals provided by Caitlyn and Born Stranger’s Maddox-Jones, the infectious duet sees the two act in a relationship and pick their brains on their commitment to each other.

Harry Jay-Steele – ‘Reach You’

The first track from London-based Harry Jay-Steele, taken from his debut EP set for release next month, has already racked up an impressive 60k plus plays on Spotify. Incorporating everything from minimalist dance (he cites Nicolas Jaar as an influence), rock, soul and a hint of aftrobeat, ‘Reach You’ manages to combine all these in to a cohesive whole and one that refuses to be pigeon-holed. An incredibly promising debut indeed.

Aaedae – ‘River Of Tears’

A single that started out as a phrase London-based singer Aadae scribbled in her notebook at a particularly difficult time in her life, ‘River Of Tears’ is a song the celebrates strength. Her influences ranges from the Yoruba gospel, reggae, 90s Afro-juju and 70s Afrobeat. Definitely worth a listen.

Betty Who – ‘Some Kinda Wonderful’

Australian pop starlet Betty Who makes us feel all cute with her disco -infused video for her new pop banger ‘Some Kinda Wonderful’. This is a Betty video as we know her best, an enormous amount of fun, heaps of sequins and generally just being fabulous. This is the first single off her soon-to-be released 2nd album ‘The Valley’, which is due at the end of March. Catch Betty over in the UK in May, where she will be playing at The Great Escape.
