It’s Fashion Week Dahlings! I love fashion week. It’s the kind of week a girl can wear outfits like Anna Dello Russo does on-the-daily, ridiculously dangerous footwear, a face that both says ‘please street style me’ and ‘oh stop taking photos of me!’ at the same time, all whilst trying to flounce around Somerset House, filtering out the sheeting rain on Instagram. It’s beautiful.

It’s also way easier to get in on the action than you think. Meet your next week’s calendar…

Obviously one can never have a big enough wardrobe, but if – like me – your place of residence is a little more walk-in than live-in, why not dive into the pile head-first, grab something you never wear and swap it for something shiny and new? Online Danish swap pros Swap Amok are hosting a special Fashion Week event tomorrow at St James’s Clerkenwell. Wine and nibbles provided, take 1-3 items and get swapping! Free entry, though book by email.

Designer Jumble, ran by ex-Voguer Abi Chisman, is my personal favourite place in the whole world ever for sartorial steals. Not only is the place buzzing with fabulously friendly fashion people (I walked in to the middle of a photo shoot the other day, just because) but the pieces are so well chosen and priced it is very hard not to leave with something truly amazing. It’s the sort of place where you walk in and immediately start factoring it into your budget. Per month. Forever. Knowledge of Designer Jumble is a sartorial armoury no London woman should be without.

Ethical fashion is something we Stealers feel quite strongly about and has, especially recently, become something of a movement. FASHION IS FAKE launches at the Indra amd Samia Gallery today and features instalments and projects from an activist model, designer and artist. Go because it’s actually pretty important to look awesome and be awesome too. Free entry.

For the proto-editors, critics or dictators of taste among us who want to play spot-the-next-Mathew-Williamson, head to Bloomsbury Square for the London College of Fashion MA14 Exhibition.  The brand new fash-pack show off their skills to the public in the Victoria House Basement till 16th Feb, open from 12pm, the catwalk is open from 10.30am and it’s live streamed, which is another reason to dress up.

The ‘Selfridges of Vintage’ comes once again to Fashion Week this Sunday 16th. Brush off your saturday hangovers and get there at 11am sharp for the ever-growing-in-reputation Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair at the Old Finsbury Town Hall. Hosting over the 50 of the capital’s finest traders and at only £4 entry this place is a super steal. Grab your ticket in advance and go hunting for inspiration. Or stuff.

Frock Me, an absolute favourite of ours, comes back to Chelsea Town Hall for Saturday 15th from 11-5.30pm. The vintage treasure trove is only £4 to get into, stuffed with pieces, things to snack on and right smack bang in the middle of Chelsea, so you can pop down the road after and discuss your steals over cappuccinos at The Bluebird Café.

Finally, and because Fashion Week isn’t Fashion Week without Somerset House. The London Fashion Weekend needs no explanation, should be visited by all and is a total teetering heel of fun. Running 20th – 23rd of Feb, it houses everything from catwalk shows to discount designer shopping and industry talks. Tickets start at £20.

Let the madness begin!
