Words Ailis Mara

Warm rich bronze and copper tone eyes were all over the SS14 shows. Seen at  Versace, Gucci, Donna Karren , Dsquared 2, Jason Woo, Cavalli & Missoni.

You’ll want to give this smouldering twist on the bronze smokey eye a go and it doesn’t take very long to acheive. Beauty Editor Tabby shows you how to get the look with the gorgeous Auora @Profile models…

Clean & Prep Skin

Cleanse the skin with Simple Radiance Wipes (1) and apply Illamasqua Hydra Veil Primer (2) all over,  but leave your foundation for now to avoid eyeshadow fall out and allow skincare to kick in.

Create a Rich Bronze Eye

Create a quick and easy bronze eye by apply Nars Iskander Eye Paint (5) and Mac Rich Ground Fluidline (6) all over the eyelid with a small eyeshadow brush. Blend outwards to the crease of the eye before the products set. Then add Mac Coppering Eyeshadow (7) to the center of the eye lid and blend outwards.

Add Eye Gloss

Next use Mac Gloss Texture  (8) on top of the eyeshadow. *Note you will need to keep an eye on this as it will crease through the day*. It’s best to dot this on with a fluffy brush. Finish the eyes with a touch of A La Carte Mascara (9) and fill in brows lightly with a brow product of your choice.

Clear Away Shadow Fall Out & Add Base

Clean off any fallen eyeshadow from the face with Simple Kind to Skin Eye Wipes (10) and prep the skin with Topshop BB Cream Foundation (3). Add a touch of concealor under the eyes and on any areas of redness. Then use Mac Golden Bronzer (4) under the cheekbones to give warmth to the face. Follow this with the Mac Gloss Texture (8) on the top of the cheekbones and bridge of the nose for a natural glow.

Keep lips softer and less of a focus but still rich and warm by using Burts Bees Caramel Lip Shimmer (11)
