Taken from their second full-length album Silver Lining, ‘Fix It’ seamlessly blends punk rock with a healthy dose of Americana to produce a loud and hearty tune that deals with our inability to fix ourselves.
The album itself deals with the tribulations that come with adulthood, as Bishops’ songwriter, vocalist and guitarist Tucker Riggleman explains: “These songs were written in the most trying time in my life as an adult. It was kind of like ‘put up or shut up’ and this was my reaction to it.”
Bishops have gone through many incarnations, having played as a four-piece and a duo, but now the current trio, consisting of Riggleman, Paul Cogle on bass and former The Demon Beat and current Rozwell Kid member Jordan Hudkins on drums, seems like the perfect fit.
Silver Lining is available both digitally and on limited-edition vinyl, with a cover hand screen-printed by Hudkins and individually numbered for added collectors’ value. Since there are just 200 copies available, it’s a good idea for you to head over to Twin Cousins Records and pre-order one right away! The Silver Lining vinyl will be available May 20th, and if you can’t wait that long then the album is available digitally now.
