Having been championed by Radio 1 in their coveted Introducing slot and recently being chosen as Zane Lowe’s ‘Next Hype’, Leon Else is ready to turn up the heat with the release of “River Full Of Liquor”, the lead track to be taken from his debut EP, out on 7th July. River Full Of Liquor is a stunning blend of soul and contemporary R’n’B that debuts Leon’s phenomenal vocals.
Since the release of his debut single “Protocol” in January, the 24-year-old singer-songwriter has won the esteem of the music industry’s key influencers – and the hearts of the fashion world’s most renowned designers, managed by Turn First Artists, the musical innovators behind the likes of Rita Ora, Iggy Azalea and Ellie Goulding.
Leon’s creativity extends beyond penning lyrics as he draws influence from gothic biographical illustrations that give a subtle nod to Tim Burton’s technique, depicted in the forthcoming video of “River Full of Liquor” that echoes the songs lyrically dark undertones. Leon will perform live later this month at Radio 1’s Big Weekend alongside Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams, Sam Smith and many more.
“River Full Of Liquor” EP is released through Leon’s own label Skitzophonic Records on 7th July.
