Ahead of Spindle @ The Great Escape next weekend, we’re introducing you to the electro-pop sounds of Sea Change
It’s time to acquaint yourselves with the chilling electro-pop sounds of Nordic artist Sea Change, a.k.a Ellen W. Sundes. After whipping up a storm across the web with her first two singles, her third offering “Bridges” is potentially her best track yet. Offering an invigorating rolling under-beat with seductive moody vocals, the track demonstrates Ellen’s unique ambient sound.
Born in the south of Norway in the late 80s with a natural fascination for noise, improvisation music, tiny acoustic instruments and synth pop Sea Change continually creates a beautiful loop-based sound, which contains beats, vocal harmonies, and 80s choruses with her own ability to make a magic and mysterious ambience. Still there is a wide range within her music, it can be massive, putting the lower frequencies of the sound system to the test or gentle, almost like the wonderful nature of silence but always immersive.
‘Bridges’ will be available on limited edition 7” vinyl and digitally. Sea Change’s debut album is expected to drop later this year, but before that you can catch Ellen live at Spindle Introducing @ The Great Escape next Friday 9th May.
