Introducing: El Born

London based alt-rock duo, El Born have been touring the UK in response to their critically acclaimed debut EP Kangaroo. They now return with the release of ‘You Made Me’ on the 7th of July, which offers guitar led pop with palpitating baselines.

El Born are boy, Si Connelly (singer, guitarist and songwriter) and girl, Hils Granger (Keyboard/backing vocals). The band took their name from the bohemian district of Barcelona; a place which Connelly was reminded of when he saw the abstract piece ‘Long Time Coming’ by US artist Michel Keck. Connelly felt so inspired he contacted Keck and after listening to El Born, Keck told the band they could use her paintings as their artwork.

‘You Made Me’ is taken from their forthcoming album, Youth, which has been buy viagra super force online recorded and produced by Brit award winner Chris Potter and Grammy winner Dom Morley. This great pair of legends very kindly worked on the album for free as Connelly was so broke he was living out his car. That’s pretty cool vibes.

Earlier this year Coldplay took El Born’s track ‘1982’ and put it on their website. The video was recorded by a fan and racked up 10,000 views in 8 days. By the time Coldplay got to it, the video had over 40,000 views- a few indications there that El Born are in the right direction- it’s now on 216,000.

The band will be rounding up their UK tour on Thursday 19th June at The Barfly in Camden, London.
