Island Records has made a new signing by the name of Nick Brewer. He releases his EP Four Miles FurtherĀ featuring a number of names including JP Cooper, George The Poet and female rapper Little Simz on his track ‘The Drop‘.

‘The Drop’ offers an insight into Nick’s memories of growing up in today’s society as he raps about his childhood and making a mark as a wordsmith with worthy lyrics rather conforming to the stereotypes of yet ‘another male rapper.’ Classy production with jazz undertones create a smooth sound bed to Nick’s words, with Little Simz coming in swiftly with her verse.

Nick’s previous release ‘In The Quiet‘ with George The Poet also featured Max Marshall and was premiered by Clash Magazine, with then getting love from Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and 1Xtra’s DJ Target- all in all setting a good tone for his second release ‘The Drop‘ and EP Four Miles FurtherĀ released this weekend just gone.

To see him live, Nick will be headlining at The Old Queen’s Head in Islington on 26th June.
