This festival is all about making a statement while you dance till the sun goes down and we’ve found the PERFECT makeup accessory to take with you. Beauty Ed Tabby shows you how to get this striking look with Face Lace.

Prep Your Skin
Prep your skin with your normal cleanser, toner & moisturiser. Come back to do your foundation, concealor and bronzer after you’ve completed the next few steps to avoid eyeshadow dropping all over the skin and ruining your finished look.
Add An Eye Base
You’re going to need a decent eye primer for this look, especially if you want it to last through the night. We like Mac Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly (1) which will be useful for your everyday makeup looks as well. Using a firm flat brush apply a thin layer of the product from lower lash line to just past the crease of the eye. Be sure to blend! Then add a little Topshop Eye Khol in Coal (3) to your top and bottom lash line for more definition.
Make You’re Eyes Pop
Next add a really bright blue eyeshadow all over the lid. We love Mac Electric Eel (2) which is really pigmented and bright. This is best applied first with a flat brush and patted onto the lid, then blended out with a soft fluffy brush. (We like the Mac 239 applicator and 217 blending brushes generally – great quality! )
Make A Statement With Face Lace
Next peel a Face Lace Sun Beam (4) out of it’s packaging and before sticking it straight onto the eyelid, visually position where you would like it to go. Place it from one side of the eye to the other and stick down with your fingers. These are fantastic for the festival season as they were inspired by Woodstock and come in a variety of different styles. The best thing about them is that they don’t peel off easily – they last and last which is great as you’re not going to want to keep touching up your makeup while your dancing in the sun. You can also re-use them several times (ideal for festival season.) Once you’ve positioned both Sun Beams in place add a slick of Mac Pro Chromaline Hi Def Cyan (5) along the top lash line. Add a slick of your favorite mascara then finish off your skin. Don’t over do the skin with heavy foundation. Keep it fresh and lightweight to compliment this summery makeup – we like Topshop BB Cream (6) with a little Topshop Mohawke Bronzer (7.)
Finish With A Nude Lip
Complete the look with a peachy nude lip. We love A La Carte Rose Sun Balm (8) which is perfect for summer as it has an SPF20 as well as being waterproof.
