Taking place in the disused textile mill, Canal Mills has been one of the North’s most pioneering cultural spaces, holding commissions by street artist Phlegm and events with the likes of Disclosure and Bonobo. Now they add to their impressive collection of performers by kicking off with chart topper Duke Dumont. The level of musical talent is kept up throughout the rest of the season, as they present Jackmaster, Eton Messy, Ten Walls, Waze and Odyssey, Paul Woolford, Scuba, B-Traits, Karma Kid and many more. London soundsystem’s Reggae Roast and Metropolis will also be hosting very special parties, adding to the eclectic line-up that are all set to give incredible performances.
Whilst your winter nights are looking covered, the mill makes sure it keeps your days busy as well. The Brewers Market will champion over 24 beers from the UK’s finest beer brewers, whilst also hosting a celebration of street food and wine. Other pop-up eateries that we can expect to see include Trestle who pride themselves on great food in unusual locations, and Indian street food from Bundobust. The Brandon Street Night Market also gets in on the food action, but also gives us specialist film screenings, artist installations and productions from EDGES, whilst your weekends will be covered with live art from the Assembly House Studios.
Now it’s just deciding if we’re feeling hungry, cultural or ready to party. Either way, Canal Mills has it all.
