Did Glastonbury rock your world? Thought Bestival was the best festival ever? Or maybe Benicassim won you over with sun, sea and sangria. Whichever of 2014’s music events swept you off your feet, you’ll be able to vote for the best as the European Festival Awards return for their 6th year!

The European Festival Awards are dedicated to recognising the achievements of the event organisers and artists that bring sunshine to the British summer, even when the forecast is torrential rain, and that unite many European individuals across the continent. Last year’s awards recognised over 350 festivals from 32 different countries, with over 1 million votes cast.

On Wednesday 14th January 2015 at Groningen in The Netherlands, the winners of the European Festival Awards 2014 will be announced. Presented in association with Yourope and Eurosonic Noorderslag, the show will celebrate the finest festivals out there. The award categories include Best Major Festival, Artists’ Favourite Festival, Headliner Of The Year, the Health & Safety Innovation Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award. With the new introduction of an award for Excellence and Passion that will be given to an individual whose given their time and love over the festival season to providing a magical experience.

Festivals can apply at here for a chance to be considered for a series of categories. Public voting for this year’s European Festival Awards will run from 6th to 27th October 2014. The winners will be shortlisted and awarded based on votes made by the public and a jury of industry professionals. And finally, don’t miss your fave festival win an award. Grab your tickets here.
