Do you remember being told that Iceland and Greenland switched names to confuse the Vikings? But what they left out was how beautiful the landscapes were. An art exhibition by Marc Sethi is being held at A-Side B-Side Gallery in Hackney Downs Studios involving the majestic views of Iceland.

Marc Sethi’s collection of images entitled ‘Takk Fyrir’ were taken during a personal trip to Iceland for a landscape project. With a passion for travelling for work and for pleasure, and after numerous visits to Reykjavik, Marc’s walking break with friends took him to the south coastline of Iceland. The images were taken around the black sand coastline and in Þórsmörk national park over a ten-day period in the beautiful summer month of June.

The exhibition captures the pure and isolated nature of Iceland, and the island’s dramatic landscape. Let your thoughts take a trip away whilst admiring this beautiful collection of images and you’re feet are still firmly in East London.

The event is open from Thursday November 27th to Monday December 1st at A-Side B-Side Gallery in Hackney Downs Studios, and is welcoming the public on the Sunday during those dates.
