Introducing: Normanton Street

Words Spindle

Normanton Street are a Brighton-bound band whose debut EP ‘Much Respect’ dropped at the end of October this year. And we’ve got ‘Much Love’ for it.

Normanton Street have been causing a stir on the new music scene by producing a super exciting blend of soul, jazz and hip-hop tracks on their debut EP. There have always been bands that challenged genre norms but Normanton Street seem to take it that step further. Crossing over genre boundaries by involving bass guitars, strong drums and saxophones in their tracks, with a mixture of soulful lyrics followed by rap and the norms have been blown up and Normanton Street are walking through the rubble (throw in some dramatic fire and you’ve got yourself a picture perfect situation).

After going on tour to launch ‘Much Respect’, and a recent stint supporting Time For T recently, with the end date being in Brighton on December 13th at Bleach, things are heating up for Normanton Street. Keep me updated with directions to where they’re heading please.
