Girls girls girls. They wear short skirts, long skirts, high necks shirts, cleavage-bursting tees, they have freckles, they don’t have freckles, some are tall, some are short, and some are square… Wait what. Maybe not, but us girls are still great, even if we were square. And Peachy ‘N’ Keen are holding an exhibition celebrating everything girly.

This Girls exhibition being held by Peachy ‘N’ Keen, at the Doomed Gallery in Dalston, is a collection of work by 9 all female photographers. Starting from today (!!!, December 4th) from 6pm until December 6th. Not only will there be never-before-seen photography from these 9 contributors, but it is where the Girls calendar will be exhibited and up for sale.

By using only female photographers for this piece, and for all the work Peachy ‘N’ Keen do, they work to get rid of artistic hierarchies in the male dominated industry, their aim is to just present great work. And they do just this by supporting emerging and established female artists who are producing amazing stuff. Doing it for the gals.

Peachy ‘N’ Keen ran a Kickstarter project to raise money for the Girls calendar, and successfully reached their target meaning girls for everyone! The calendar is not your standard pin up; its aim is to represent the reality of women. To empower and encourage real women out there and to show their beauty in calendar form. The work presents real women, hips, boobs, bums, tums and everything in between. It’s a piece of work to celebrate the female.

Join Peachy ‘N’ Keen over the next two days to celebrate girls. Not forgetting the girl band Porter performing at their launch tonight! Be there or be a boy. Ew smelly.
