London’s freshest contemporary illustration, graphic design and print event returns on Friday for the first anniversary of artist-led event, The London Illustration Fair 2014, with featured artist Jean Jullien.
The London Illustration Fair 2014 will showcase the work of fifteen emerging illustrators, selected by Polly Glass & Chris Harrison (Editor & Creative Director of Wrap Magazine), Camilla Parsons & Gavin Lucas (Founder & Co-Founder of Outline Editions and Outline Artists), Lisa Hassell (Director of Inkygoodness), Sarah Boris (Associate Design Director of Phaidon Press) and published illustrator Mr Bingo.
To celebrate The London Illustration Fair 2014’s first birthday, featured artist Jean Jullien will present a selection of new prints inspired by his recent relocation to New York as well as his best-loved classics; alongside creative management agency JSR, and bespoke Bristol-based stationers Papersmiths.
The London Illustration Fair print shop will feature the freshest work from Affiliated Artists Rob Lowe (aka. Supermundane), Mr Bingo and Louise Zergaeng Pomeroy. Armed with pens, paints and stencils, Lowe and Pomeroy will be creating new works exclusively for the opening of the fair on the entrance walls of Hoxton Arches. Lowe will create a site-specific wall piece using his infectious geometric shapes and bold colour palette, and Pomeroy a darkly humorous anti-Christmas mural.
Throughout the three days, live doodle gang Pen Pushers will be bringing illustration to life with a human-size Christmas-themed installation. Sit on Santa’s knee and get your ultimate Christmas gift drawn by an artist of your choice.
Two outside areas will play host to live lino-printing from the Print Wagon, pop-up street food stalls, live DJs, a festive bar and a whole lot more!
The London Illustration Fair 2014 will take place in the Hoxton Arches from 5th-7th December. Tickets available here.
