Now that everyone is over Christmas and New Year, and this freezing cold weather where you have to wear five layers to ward off frostbite, everyone is thinking about festivals. Which festival you’re going to? Whose playing at which festivals? “Oo that lineup looks amazing!” “Maybe we should go to that one because it does a payment plan…” Well stop in your festival planning tracks, Field Day Festival needs to be moved to the top of your to-do list.

Field Day Festival is held at Victoria Park, London and lasts over a two-day period, which, this year falls on the weekend of 6th and 7th of June 2015. The festival has just announced a second wave of acts, and I suggest you may want to sit down for this.

Within the announcement are Mac DeMarco, Savages, FKA Twigs, Hudson Mohawke, Jack Garratt and DJ sets from Bad Vibrations, Huw Stephens, Marc Riley and Tom Ravenscroft, and that is to name a few. These acts will join the likes of Caribou (insert heart image), Kindness (insert thumbs up image) and Django Django (insert starry-eyed image).

Not only is the lineup looking pretty, but you’ll be able to quench your thirst with a locally brewed beer from the London Brewers’ Market whilst satisfying your stomach with food from Street Feast, with a promise of providing cuisine for everyone.

It seems like the perfect remedy for a boozy, foody, dancey, music filled, weekend. And if you just can’t wait ‘til June… Take a leaf out of the Spindle books. We’ve had the Field Day Festival Spotify playlist playing all of this morning… Get me a beer in hand and some sunshine and I’m basically there already.
